Winter in Cyprus: Slow Stays and Remote Work in a Village Stone Cottage
Northern Europe goes dark and grey in winter. In Cyprus, the light stays. For anyone who can work from anywhere, or simply wants to slow down for a few weeks, a winter stay in a quiet village is one of the best-kept secrets of the island.

Why winter is the slow season worth choosing
Mild days and long hours of sunshine, compared with most of Europe.
Empty trails, quiet villages and no queues at the sights.
Citrus and olive season in the villages around Limassol.
Snow on the Troodos peaks on some winter days, while the coast stays mild.

Apsiou: village life, close to everything
Apsiou sits in the green hills above Limassol, a short drive from the city, the sea and the Troodos mountains. It is small and peaceful but not isolated: you have a grocery store and village life on your doorstep. Read more in our Explore the Area guide.
Working remotely from a stone cottage
Both cottages have high-speed Wi-Fi, so you can keep your working routine and spend your free hours walking village paths, visiting wineries or driving up to Troodos. Longer stays let you live the place, not just visit it.

Warm and comfortable all winter
Stone houses stay cool in summer, and in winter ours are fully heated. Blue Cottage has central heating as well as air conditioning with heating, and an outdoor fire pit for evenings under the stars. Eleni's Cottage is heated with air conditioning, which warms the compact studio quickly.
Which cottage suits a winter stay?
Eleni's Cottage is a compact traditional stone studio, ideal for one or two people who want a calm, warm base for work and slow days. Blue Cottage is a two-bedroom stone house with central heating and a fire pit, suited to couples who want a separate workspace or friends travelling together.
